First Grade Robots

First grade created robots. They used the primary colors - red, yellow and blue pieces of paper. We also used only geometric shapes - circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles. After we created our robots we went back in and added details with black markers.  Fun activity!

Season Wheels.....

Second grade was busy making season wheels. We talked about the seasons, what they looked like, what they felt like, and things you could do during that season. They then drew one specific tree in each section of the wheel. They went on to make each tree look as it would in each of the four seasons. We attached the wheel to a piece of paper with a paper fastener.

First grade - Buses

In first grade we talked about what we could do to improve a boring yellow bus.... they had great ideas! Check this one out!

Second Grade - Shapes

This week in art second grade was working with geometric shapes. They chose a shape and then echoed that shape with three other colors. They colored them in neatly and repeated the process to fill up the space. They learned about overlapping while doing the process. What great designs, love them!
